Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Orlando, FL is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to develop and implement manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, fabrication, and material handling.

You will analyze electrical and electromechanical schematics, update work instructions, troubleshoot manufacturing issues, support lean initiatives, and provide input to product design to optimize equipment and techniques.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Publisher).
• Experience with cable/harness production and ability to read electrical/mechanical schematics.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze electrical, electromechanical, and cable schematics during development and production.
• Create and update assembly work instructions for efficient assembly.
• Investigate technical problems and guide manufacturing operators to improve performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions.
• Support lean manufacturing techniques to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
• Provide input to product design to optimize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
• Work with Subject Matter Experts to implement manufacturing improvements.
