Job summary

Metrea is seeking a Principal Manufacturing Engineer to join the Electromagnetic and Cyber Group. You will work on state‑of‑the‑art military communications and signals intelligence products in a small, agile team.

You will lead design-for-manufacturing reviews and drive transitions from engineering to production in a dynamic environment. Requirements include a Bachelor’s in engineering and 10–15 years in mechanical design, CAD, GD&T, and manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required.
• 10–15 years in mechanical design, CAD, drawings, GD&T, tolerances, and documentation.
• 10–15 years in manufacturing processes, assembly methods, tooling, fixtures, and DFA/DFM.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and maintain mechanical designs, drawings, assemblies, and manufacturing documentation for prototype and production builds.
• Create and improve manufacturing processes, assembly instructions, tooling, fixtures, and test support equipment.
• Support design-for-manufacturing and design-for-assembly reviews to improve producibility, cost, and reliability.
• Collaborate with electrical, software, quality, supply chain, and production teams to resolve issues.
• Investigate nonconformances, defects, supplier issues, and test failures; support corrective actions.
• Assist in transitioning products from engineering to production, including BOM reviews and production planning.
