Metrea is seeking a Software Engineer to join our team focused on state-of-the-art military communications and signals intelligence products. You will develop, test, and debug software for embedded systems and related desktop or service-based applications.

The role operates in a small, agile environment with independent work on diverse systems. Candidates should have a strong background in Java, Python, and C/C++, plus Linux and CI/CD experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in software development.
• Experience in developing solutions using Java, Python and C/C++ for embedded systems.
• Experience working with Linux environment.
• Experience with CI/CD and GitLab or other git based code repository.
• Eligible to receive a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and debug software components for embedded systems.
• Analyze, design, and implement software subsystems from high-level requirements.
• Design and implement software from requirements to delivered product.
• Analyze and improve system performance as needed.
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to other developers to ensure best practices and code quality.
