Job summary

Hazelett Corporation, a global leader in continuous metal casting technology, is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer onsite in Colchester, VT. You will lead capital improvement initiatives, optimize processes, and implement automation while mentoring junior engineers within a cross-functional team.

You will design and integrate manufacturing solutions, improve safety, quality, and productivity, and collaborate with suppliers to enhance operational performance across production systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in heavy manufacturing, industrial equipment, or capital equipment.
• Proven experience leading capital projects and process improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing process improvements and capital equipment projects.
• Design and implement innovative manufacturing solutions that improve safety, quality, and productivity.
• Evaluate and integrate automation technologies into existing and future production systems.
• Optimize manufacturing layouts, material flow, and equipment performance.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Quality, and external equipment suppliers.
• Analyze manufacturing processes using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Mentor Manufacturing Engineers, interns, and technical staff.
• Research and implement emerging manufacturing technologies to improve operational performance.
