Job summary

Hazelett Corporation, a global leader in continuous metal casting technology, seeks a Manufacturing Training and Workforce Development Specialist to design and deliver practical training across our Colchester, Vermont operations. You will collaborate with managers and technical experts to create training materials, teach diverse employees, and strengthen skill development.

You’ll build relationships with schools and programs to open pathways for students into manufacturing careers.

Qualifications

• Experience developing and delivering training in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge on applied math, blueprint reading, and GD&T.
• Ability to explain technical information clearly to learners with different backgrounds.
• Strong organization and time management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple projects and schedules.
• Initiative to work independently and collaborate with technical experts.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Acrobat; LMS experience is helpful.
• Sound judgment when handling employee information; flexibility for shift adjustments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver employee training across manufacturing operations.
• Create training materials on safety, applied math, blueprint reading, GD&T, and Hazelett equipment and processes.
• Teach individuals and groups, adapting to different experience levels and learning needs.
• Develop quizzes, practical exercises, and other methods to assess understanding.
• Create presentations, videos, and LMS resources in collaboration with managers and experts.
• Coordinate training around production schedules and gather feedback for improvements.
• Build relationships with technical centers, schools, and other education programs.
• Coordinate tours, job shadows, and donation programs for student learning.
