Job summary

Hazelett Corporation designs and manufactures continuous metal casting equipment, leading multi-functional projects from planning to installation and commissioning. This role manages teams, coordinates with external contractors and suppliers, and mentors peers while advancing Hazelett’s casting technology.

The Senior Program Manager will oversee multiple projects, align with engineering, manufacturing, and process teams, and travel 10–20% to support customer sites.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of project engineering or program management experience.
• Ability to plan and lead multiple projects simultaneously.
• Demonstrated project management experience with cross-functional teams and remote resources.
• More than 3 years of experience leading or working with external contractors or specialized service providers.
• Experience developing commercial contracts or subcontracts.
• A basic understanding of engineering technical issues and knowledge of structures, materials, joining processes, rotating equipment, hydraulic systems, control systems, or load and stress analysis.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize competing demands and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication skills, initiative, and an interest in contributing to the development of Hazelett’s technology.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Sales & Marketing and Engineering to document requirements and develop cost estimates and schedules in response to RFQs.
• Develop project plans for customer contracts and internal development projects, including documented requirements, a program master schedule, budget, resource plan, and risk assessment.
• Work with Engineering to keep project execution aligned with the project plan.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing to develop and coordinate build schedules.
• Coordinate with the Process team to plan installation and commissioning activities.
• Manage project coordination and resolve distractions so the design team can focus on developing solutions that meet customer needs.
• Lead team meetings and design reviews.
• Report project progress to internal stakeholders at agreed intervals.
• Communicate directly with external customers and component suppliers.
• Mentor peers and share project management practices.
