Pacer Group in Charlotte, NC, is seeking a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer to optimize air-cooled chiller production and drive continuous improvement across mechanical and electrical assemblies. This on-site role requires hands-on troubleshooting and collaboration with operations, quality, and product engineering teams.

You will lead process development, maintenance, and validation activities to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective manufacturing that meets delivery and quality targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering field applicable to manufacturing.
• Minimum 5 years of manufacturing engineering or automation experience.
• Hands-on ability with mechanical tools and electrical diagnostic tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day manufacturing engineering support for air-cooled chiller production operations.
• Lead resolution of complex manufacturing issues involving mechanical assemblies, electrical systems, controls, and testing processes.
• Identify and eliminate manufacturing constraints that impact safety, quality, delivery, or cost.
• Develop and improve manufacturing processes for electrical assembly and test operations.
• Troubleshoot mechanical assembly issues involving refrigeration systems, piping, structural assemblies, and electromechanical components.
• Support process improvements related to assembly methods, tooling, fixtures, and material presentation.
• Collaborate with Product Engineering to improve manufacturability and assembly efficiency.
• Support new product launches through process development, production readiness activities, and manufacturing validation.
• Participate in design reviews and provide Design for Manufacturability (DFM) feedback.
• Ensure manufacturing processes are capable of meeting safety, quality, delivery, and cost requirements before launch.
• Perform hands-on troubleshooting and process improvements on the floor using common mechanical and electrical tools (taps, punches, drills, calipers, multimeters, and amp clamps).
