Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. (PCC) in North Hollywood, CA is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to coordinate and support manufacturing engineering for new and existing products.

You will collaborate with Quality, Operations, Design Engineering, and Planning to ensure cost-efficient, high-quality solutions. The role requires 5-7 years in manufacturing, knowledge of aerospace manufacturing, Lean/Six Sigma, and BS in Mechanical Engineering.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of progressively broadening manufacturing experience.
• Experience in metal machining and aerospace fasteners.
• Knowledge of TQM, root cause analysis, value stream mapping.
• Lean/Six Sigma experience.

Responsibilities

• Sets safety standard and enforces policies on the shop floor.
• Leads cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance production outcomes.
• Designs and coordinates tooling/fixtures for manufacturing operations.
• Develops and improves manufacturing methods focusing on safety, quality, throughput, and cost.
• Analyzes space utilization and equipment layout to maximize efficiency.
• Partners with vendors for equipment specifications and purchase requisitions.
