Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. (PCC) seeks a Director of Engineering in Gardena, CA to lead engineering, drive growth and profitability, and ensure commitments to customers. The role requires strategic and day-to-day oversight of design and manufacturing, with a focus on quality, cost, and on-time delivery.

The incumbent will direct a team of manufacturing engineers and interns, develop product line strategies, and champion continuous improvement and innovation in production techniques and processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (BSME/BSEE) or related technical field; advanced degree preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive hands-on manufacturing engineering leadership experience.
• Proven track record of driving engineering results in a machining environment.
• Experience leading people and achieving results with strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Champion safety and compliance throughout the organization.
• Drive plant KPIs: quality, cost, delivery, and NPI.
• Direct design and production process improvements to meet market needs.
• Manage projects from inception to completion, with timely execution.
