Job summary

Blue Origin manufactures and assembles hardware for space launch vehicles, including the New Glenn program. The Manufacturing Engineer will design and implement efficient production processes, translate engineering drawings into manufacturing instructions, and support production readiness across multiple shifts.

We expect experience with aerospace or related industries, strong CAD skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally on cross-geographic teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering.
• Knowledge of GD&T and mechanical design fundamentals.
• Strong software skills including CAD, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Translate engineering intent and drawings into manufacturing BOMs and work instructions.
• Identify tools and equipment needed for manufacturing flight hardware.
• Provide shipside/lineside support on the manufacturing floor.
• Generate and manage non-conformance reports (NCR) and close them.
• Craft manufacturing plans, build plans, duration estimates, index plans, and tool lists for new products.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement projects for safety and efficiency.
• Support transition from development to production and perform troubleshooting as needed.
