Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer or Principal Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in St Augustine, FL. The role designs manufacturing processes, build plans, and work instructions to ensure the aircraft is built as designed and delivered on schedule.

You will partner with Design Engineering, Production, Tool Design Engineering, Industrial Engineering, and Quality to define build processes, tooling, and continuous improvements while providing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field required
• Experience reading electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics
• Experience in manufacturing/production environment
• Ability to obtain/maintain U.S. Government Secret clearance

Responsibilities

• Review design requirements for manufacturability and translate into work instructions
• Define build processes and tooling with cross-functional teams
• Develop and maintain manufacturing docs and BOMs
• Identify processes and tooling to improve efficiency and quality
• Provide hands-on support to resolve production issues and nonconformances
• Develop and deliver process training
• Support site safety initiatives
• Communicate with leadership, customers, and suppliers
