Job summary

Chipton-Ross, Inc. seeks a Manufacturing Engineer III for a contract role on-site in Saint Augustine, FL.

The engineer will support the Manufacturing Engineering department by resolving build issues and nonconformances in real time, translating design requirements into manufacturable work instructions, and defining tooling and processes. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering with 4 years of related experience (or advanced degrees) and hands-on work in production environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with 4 years in an engineering manufacturing environment
• Ability to read and interpret production specifications, diagrams, assembly drawings, and technical specs (English)
• Able to read drawings / wiring diagrams
• Experience with Cable Assembly and Cable Harness Assembly
• Electrical Soldering and Micro-Soldering; Solder Certified
• Experience with BOM and 3D CAD tools (NX/CATIA)
• Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and MS Office applications
• Experience reading electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and symbols
• Hands-on experience in a production assembly environment
• Ability to work any shift or extended work week as business needs requires
• Ability to lift up to 15 pounds

Responsibilities

• Support Manufacturing Engineering in resolving build issues and nonconformances in real time
• Review and interpret aircraft design requirements for manufacturability and translate into manufacturing work instructions
• Define build processes and tooling with cross-functional teams
• Develop, release, and maintain Manufacturing Engineering documentation (work instructions, BOMs)
• Identify manufacturing processes and specialty tooling to improve efficiency and quality
• Provide technical liaison to production; troubleshoot tooling or process issues
• Deliver process training to production and support personnel
• Support site safety initiatives related to manufacturing processes
• Communicate with leadership, customers, and suppliers
