Job summary

Pursuit Aerospace is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II to optimize aerospace manufacturing processes, lead continuous improvement initiatives, and mentor junior engineers on the shop floor in Stuart, Florida. You will develop and refine CNC programs, specify tooling, and drive cost-efficient production with cross‑functional teams.

The role emphasizes hands‑on engineering on the shop floor (50%+ time), process documentation, and collaboration with customers for specifications and changes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
• At least 3 years of manufacturing engineering experience.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full‑time basis without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Must be able to comply with ITAR/EAR regulations.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate CNC turning and milling equipment.
• Develop and refine manufacturing process plans with sequences, equipment, tooling, and techniques.
• Design, document, and optimize CNC programs for high quality, cost‑effective production.
• Serve as technical liaison with customers for blueprint clarifications and engineering changes.
• Lead tooling design and procurement to maximize efficiency and control costs.
• Perform root cause analysis on production issues and implement corrective actions.
• Own and drive process improvements to improve first‑pass yield and reduce downtime.
• Provide technical leadership in continuous improvement programs and mentor junior engineers.
• Prepare cost estimates for products, tooling, equipment, and processes to support pricing and planning.
• Maintain documentation including SOPs and machine settings.
