Job summary

Chipton-Ross is seeking 4 Manufacturing Engineers (Level 3) for a contract opportunity in Tukwila, WA. You will lead flight test design and planning efforts, own the build plan, and ensure conformance to design configuration and process requirements.

The role involves DFMA analysis, development of build plans, BOMs, work instructions, and coordinating with fabrication and supplier management to meet cost and schedule targets. Requires a BS in engineering and 5+ years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor).
• Typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Responsibilities

• Leads and manages flight test design & planning efforts.
• Develops integrated build plans and DFMA analyses; creates an integrated build plan with work instructions, BOMs, tooling, and inspection requirements.
• Coordinates with fabrication personnel and procurement/supplier management.
• Leads development of training material and tutorials for Design & Planning ME team.
• Drafts, updates and reviews processes and procedures to support business requirements.
