Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree with at least 6 years of related experience; a Graduate Degree with at least 4 years.
In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 10 years of related experience.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, statistical process control, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Experience with tooling development, fixture design, automation, and capital equipment implementation.
Ability to develop manufacturing standards, best practices, and strategic process improvements.
Experience interfacing directly with customers, suppliers, and senior leadership.

Responsibilities

Develops, implements, analyzes, and improves manufacturing engineering plans, projects, processes, and systems.
Generates, maintains, and improves Assembly Method Sheets, work instructions, process flows, tooling requirements, and related documentation.
Defines and transfers manufacturing tools, strategies, methods, and systems into production.
Develops strategies to improve producibility, quality, efficiency, and cost performance.
Leads coordination with engineering to release new products into manufacturing.
Estimates and tracks costs, labor standards, and tooling needs; supports capital decisions.
