Planet Group in Manor, TX is seeking a Senior Cost Accountant to support our growing manufacturing operation onsite. This role partners with finance and plant leadership to manage manufacturing costs, inventory valuation, standard costs, variances, and the month-end close.

The successful candidate will bring 3+ years of manufacturing cost accounting, strong Excel skills, ERP experience, and a curious, analytical mindset to identify cost drivers and drive process improvements.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of cost-accounting experience within manufacturing.
• Standard costing experience.
• Manufacturing variance analysis.
• Inventory accounting and valuation.
• Month-end cost-accounting close.
• Strong general-ledger and reconciliation knowledge.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Ability to partner directly with plant/operations leadership.
• Strong Excel and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and analyze manufacturing costs and cost variances.
• Support inventory valuation and cost reporting.
• Perform cost-accounting close activities month-end.
• Reconcile inventory and related general-ledger accounts.
• Provide financial analyses to operational leadership to drive cost improvements.
