Job summary

Planet Group in Manor, TX is seeking a Senior Cost Accountant to support our growing manufacturing operation onsite. This role partners with finance and plant leadership to manage manufacturing costs, inventory valuation, standard costs, variances, and the month-end close.

The successful candidate will bring 3+ years of manufacturing cost accounting, strong Excel skills, ERP experience, and a curious, analytical mindset to identify cost drivers and drive process improvements.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of cost-accounting experience within manufacturing.
• Standard costing experience.
• Manufacturing variance analysis.
• Inventory accounting and valuation.
• Month-end cost-accounting close.
• Strong general-ledger and reconciliation knowledge.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Ability to partner directly with plant/operations leadership.

Responsibilities

Our clientis seeking a Senior Cost Accountant to support its growing manufacturing operation in Manor, Texas.

This fully onsite position will partner closely with finance and plant leadership to support manufacturing cost accounting, inventory, standard costs, variance analysis and month-end close.

Responsibilities will include maintaining and analyzing manufacturing costs, supporting inventory valuation, reviewing production and purchase variances, performing cost-accounting close activities, reconciling inventory and related general-ledger accounts and providing financial analysis to operational leadership.

The successful candidate will bring strong manufacturing accounting fundamentals along with the curiosity and analytical ability to identify cost drivers, investigate issues and improve processes.
