Job summary
Amgen is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Systems Engineer: Automation - BAS/PLC to lead design, commissioning and operation of building automation and PLC systems for the new drug substance facility. You will partner with capital projects, QA, and operations to ensure compliant, robust automation solutions.
The role requires expertise in building automation, PLC controls, and GMP environments; travel as needed and flexibility for hybrid work.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma / GED with 10 years of engineering experience.
- Associate’s Degree or higher with engineering experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree with 4+ years of engineering experience or higher.
- Master’s Degree with 2+ years of engineering experience; Doctorate optional.
Responsibilities
- Site design, construction, start-up, and operational readiness for BAS and PLC systems.
- Lead commissioning and qualification activities (IV/ACO) for automation.
- Own and drive change controls, CAPAs, and deviation management for automation.
- Provide day-to-day operational support and data integrity assessments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust automation solutions.
