Amgen is hiring a Senior Manufacturing Systems Engineer in Thousand Oaks to lead complex automation projects across Clinical & Commercial Plant Automation. You will manage lifecycle activities for capital construction, integrate DeltaV/PLC/SCADA systems, and drive continuous improvements in safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of Manufacturing Automation Systems Engineering experience OR
• Master’s degree and 2 years of Manufacturing Automation Systems Engineering experience OR
• Doctorate degree in a related field preferred with extensive experience in GMP bio/pharma settings.

Responsabilités

• Lead automation technical projects and capital construction initiatives with lifecycle asset management.
• Collaborate with site process engineering to develop process control/automation solutions using DeltaV, Rockwell PLCs and SCADA.
• Support projects to integrate new drug substance and product manufacturing technologies.
• Lead/root cause analysis and troubleshooting for process control issues in plant operations.
• Partner with Capital project teams to design, build, and qualify new equipment and systems.
• Support commissioning, qualification, and change controls for automation initiatives.
• Develop detailed specifications, SOPs, and operating standards affecting multiple units.
• Mentor automation engineering staff and provide 24x7 support to manufacturing operations.
