Job summary

Dev Technology Group, Inc. seeks a Senior Manual Tester to ensure quality across federal software deployments. Collaborate with product owners, Business Analysts, and developers to identify defects and validate functionality across platforms.

The candidate will perform functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing, design test cases, and manage defect tracking with Jira or Azure DevOps. Hybrid work schedule with 1–2 days onsite in Ashburn, VA.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance and manual testing.
• Experience testing web-based applications and enterprise software solutions.
• Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
• Experience creating and executing test cases, test scenarios, and test plans.
• Hands-on experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar defect management tools.
• Ability to analyze requirements and identify testing gaps and risks.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-starter with excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on business and technical requirements.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, and user acceptance testing.
• Document, prioritize, and track defects through resolution.
• Validate application functionality, data accuracy, and system integrations.
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, and product teams to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
• Participate actively in Agile development processes.
• Support release testing and production validation activities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, standards, and documentation.
