Job summary

Dev Technology Group in Ashburn, Virginia is seeking a Mid-Level Manual Tester to support federal clients, delivering high-quality software through thorough testing and collaboration.

You will design test cases, execute functional and regression tests, and work with product owners, developers, and QA to ensure acceptance criteria are met. Hybrid work schedule 1-2 days on-site in Ashburn.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software quality assurance and manual testing experience.
• Experience testing web-based applications and enterprise software solutions.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC.
• Experience creating and executing test cases, test scenarios, and test plans.
• Hands-on experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar defect management tools.
• Ability to analyze requirements and identify testing gaps and risks.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-starter with problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on business and technical requirements.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, and user acceptance testing.
• Document, prioritize, and track defects through resolution.
• Validate application functionality, data accuracy, and system integrations.
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, and product teams to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
• Participate actively in Agile development processes.
• Support release testing and production validation activities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, standards, and documentation.
