Job summary

TECOMET is seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to perform diverse machining tasks on irregular shapes and alloys, including stainless steel. The role requires operating manual mills, lathes, drill presses, and grinders, with attention to accuracy and on-time delivery.

Responsibilities include reworking parts per prints, inspecting assemblies, and documenting routings and time. A strong blueprint-reading ability and proficiency with hand tools are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years machine shop experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints/drawings.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual machines (mills, lathes, drill press, grinders) per drawings.
• Rework parts per print with instructions.
• Meet production schedules and complete work on time.
• Inspect parts for dimensions and fit against specs.
• Document routings, inspections, and time entries.
• Maintain material and hardware inventory.
• Assist maintenance with machine repairs.
• Collaborate with engineering to develop fixtures and tooling sheets.
• Support other production areas as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area.
