Job summary

TECOMET is seeking a Manual Machinist to perform varied and specialized machining on stainless steel and other alloys. You will set up and operate mills and lathes, read blueprints, inspect parts, and document processes.

The role requires 3+ years of shop experience, proficiency with measurement tools, and the ability to maintain quality and on‑time delivery in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years machine shop experience required, preferably in an engineering environment using the listed equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual milling machines, lathes, drill presses, and surface grinders.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Inspect components to ensure proper form, fit, and function per specifications.
• Complete routings and inspection reports; document time entries and shop floor packets.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work area; assist in fixture development with engineering.
• Rework parts per print with written and verbal instructions.
• Support maintenance and other production areas as needed.
