Job summary

TECOMET is seeking a Manual Machinist to perform specialized work on irregular shapes and alloys, including stainless steel. You will machine, finish, and assist in tooling development using hand tools and standard machining practices.

The role requires reading blueprints, operating manual mills and lathes, and inspecting finished parts for tolerance and quality. Strong data entry and Microsoft Office skills are expected in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of machine shop experience, preferably in engineering environments.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual machines (mills, lathes, drill presses, surface grinders).
• Rework parts per print with written and verbal instructions.
• Inspect components to ensure form, fit, and function meet specs.
• Document routings, inspections, and shop floor time entries.
• Maintain shop area, tool readiness, and safety compliance.
