OpenGov Inc. is seeking a Senior Manager, Payroll to own US payroll end-to-end, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing across all jurisdictions where we employ people.

This in-office role will oversee the payroll function and may expand to equity administration, reporting to Finance and Legal. The role collaborates with HR, Accounting, and Engineering, with heavy emphasis on controls, automation, and scalable processes to support growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field or equivalent work experience.
• 8+ years US payroll experience, including 3+ years managing payroll staff.
• Hands-on experience with Workday Payroll and ADP SmartCompliance.
• Strong attention to detail and Excel/Google Sheets proficiency, with large datasets.

Responsabilités

• Own end-to-end payroll processing for the United States, ensuring accuracy and compliance across jurisdictions.
• Manage payroll tax compliance and audits with federal, state, and local authorities.
• Partner with HR on 401(k), HSA, and FSA administration and deductions.
• Provide tax information for RSU settlements and oversee RSU administration with Accounting & Legal.
• Oversee quarterly and year-end payroll tax reporting and close processes; support audits.
