Job summary

OpenGov seeks a Senior Manager, Payroll to own US payroll end-to-end across all jurisdictions. You will lead a payroll team, partner with HR, Accounting, and Legal, and drive controls, automation, and equity tax administration. This in-office role supports multiple US offices, including Atlanta.

You will ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely processing while scaling payroll with the business and managing audits and tax reporting responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field or equivalent work experience.
• 8+ years of US payroll experience, including 3+ years leading staff.
• Hands-on Workday Payroll and ADP SmartCompliance experience.

Responsibilities

• Own US payroll end-to-end, ensuring accuracy, completeness, timeliness, and compliance.
• Collaborate with HR, Accounting, and Legal to manage taxes and equity (RSU) related tasks.
• Manage quarterly/year-end payroll tax reporting and GL reconciliations.
• Design, document, and maintain payroll controls; drive automation to scale.
• Supervise and develop the payroll specialist.
