Job summary

Blue Origin seeks a Senior Manager to lead the Thermal/Fluids Analysis team within the HLS SLD program, directing technical quality and mentoring staff. You will coordinate with product teams, manage staffing, and drive tool development and process improvements for complex aerospace analyses.

The role emphasizes leadership, deep engineering knowledge, and staying aligned with safety culture while enabling cost reduction and technology advancement across lunar missions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years managing technical teams and/or leading functional groups with responsibility for technical quality and career management
• Strong understanding of analysis fundamentals from first principles
• Experience as a Structural Integrity Lead or Analysis Lead
• Familiarity with 3D CAD modeling (Creo preferred) and FEA tools
• Knowledge of GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and environmental testing including vibration/shock/thermal cycling

Responsibilities

• Supply people, processes, and tools needed to meet the demand signals specified by project teams
• Negotiate Statements of Work with product managers
• Staff projects, reconciling needs with capabilities and time commitments
• Recruit and hire additional staff or contract labor when demand exceeds capacity
• Manage direct reports' professional development and coaching
• Ensure staff are trained and aligned with Blue Origin safety culture
• Provide technical leadership and oversight across Thermal/Fluids analysis
• Grow technical acumen and depth in relevant fields of expertise
• Promote leadership principles and organizational culture
