Job summary

CohnReznick, a national professional services firm, is seeking a Senior Manager to join the Technical Accounting team in the CFO Advisory practice. This remote-friendly role supports external public company reporting, SEC filings, and accounting policy development for clients ranging from startups to middle-market companies.

The successful candidate will oversee statements and MD&A, monitor FASB/IASB/SEC developments, mentor staff, and contribute to business development.

Qualifications

• Eight (8) years of related progressive experience in public accounting or a mix in similar accounting field.
• Proficiency with disaggregating, analyzing, and reconciling consolidated financial data.
• Experience with SEC reporting (Regulation S-X and S-K) and preparation of financial statements and footnotes for public companies.
• Active CPA, CA or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Manage external SEC financial statements and filing processes, including MD&A and footnotes.
• Oversee technical accounting research and documentation of new guidance.
• Monitor FASB/IASB/SEC/PCAOB activities and analyze effects on client reporting.
• Research accounting/disclosure requirements for new standards and transactions.
• Coordinate with clients and auditors to collect inputs and prepare disclosures.
• Provide training, mentoring and exposure to public company reporting.
• Organize and communicate status of assignments and projects.
• Identify opportunities for business development and client relationship expansion.
