Job summary

Crux is seeking a Senior Manager, Tax/Preferred Equity to join the Structuring team. You will lead model development and underwriting for tax equity and preferred equity transactions, working across sponsors, developers, and investors.

This hands-on role requires 4+ years in structured finance within renewables or infrastructure, with strong Excel skills and client-facing responsibility. Remote-first, US/Canada work scope, and top-tier investors await.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 4+ years in renewable energy, structured finance, or infrastructure investing with tax equity and/or preferred equity experience.
• Advanced Excel; ability to build complex models from scratch; VBA/Python a plus.
• Strong understanding of tax equity and preferred equity structures (partnership flip, hybrid, etc.).
• Experience leading transaction workstreams, coordinating due diligence, and preparing materials.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and audit complex financial models for tax/hybrid and preferred equity transactions.
• Lead screening and underwriting of new opportunities and develop pricing/structuring recommendations.
• Prepare Investment Committee materials including economics, sensitivities, and risk analyses.
• Coordinate due diligence across technical, legal, tax, and insurance workstreams; review closing documents.
• Engage with developers, investors, and advisors on active transactions; mentor Associates.
