Crux is seeking an Associate, Tax/Preferred Equity to join the Structuring team. You will screen, underwrite, and structure tax equity and preferred equity transactions for renewable energy and infrastructure projects from intake to close.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years in investment banking, structured finance, or renewables, strong financial modeling, and a passion for AI-enabled workflows in a fast-paced, technology-forward environment.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 2+ years in renewable energy, structured finance, or related field.
• Exposure to tax equity, project finance, or structured renewables transactions.
• Strong financial modeling and valuation concepts.
• Advanced Excel; VBA or Python is a plus.
• Experience preparing transaction materials and due diligence.
• Familiarity with tax equity structures and flip mechanics.
• Experience in a transaction-focused environment with client interaction.
• Able to adopt new tech platforms and AI tools.

Mansioni

• Screen and underwrite new opportunities, including pre-pricing and financial modeling.
• Prepare investment materials for Investment Committee with economics and sensitivities.
• Collaborate with Structuring team to drive transactions from intake to closing.
• Analyze sponsor financials and contracts to identify risks and value drivers.
• Leverage AI-enabled tools to improve accuracy in modeling and reporting.
• Contribute to template standardization across the Structuring team.
• Support limited external interactions with developers, investors, and advisors.
• Assist with portfolio management and monitoring of underwriting performance.
• Support platform initiatives to scale tax equity workflows.
