Job summary

The New York Independent System Operator (NYISO) is seeking a Facilities Administrator to manage NYISO facilities operations, including data centers, control centers, and office environments. The role involves coordinating maintenance, safety, CAD drawings, and asset inventories to ensure secure, efficient facilities across NYISO campuses.

Required are five years of related experience, an associate degree in a technical field, and knowledge of OSHA/NYS safety regulations.

Qualifications

• AA/AS/AAS in technical field or equivalent experience.
• Five years of related facilities/building maintenance experience.
• OSHA and NYS DOL health and safety knowledge preferred.
• Valid NYS operator's permit and clean driving record.
• IFMA/BOMA facility certification desirable.
• OSHA 30-hour or related safety certifications preferred; Business Continuity knowledge helpful.

Responsibilities

• Manage work orders for staff and contractors using CMMS.
• Administer computer rooms, condition monitoring, and contractor work.
• Coordinate IT documentation for data center activities and installations.
• Coordinate outside contractors and vendors for services.
• Schedule and oversee contracted services (janitorial, UPS, HVAC, security, etc.).
• Maintain CAD drawings and facility logs; assist in budget tasks.
• Support corporate safety program and asset inventory.
