Job summary

City and County of San Francisco is seeking a seasoned supervisor to manage day-to-day operations across nine shops and fifteen trades within the Structural Maintenance Yard of the Recreation and Park Department. You will oversee craft personnel, coordinate with vendors and City agencies, and drive capital renewal projects while ensuring safety and adherence to design standards.

Qualifications

• Substitution: Additional verifiable professional experience in the maintenance and repair of building and grounds may substitute for the required degree on a year-for-year basis.
• One year of full-time employment is equivalent to 2000 hours (40-hour week).
• Applicants must meet the minimum qualification requirement by the final filing date.

Responsibilities

• Directs, assigns, reviews and approves the work of subordinate craft personnel engaged in repair and maintenance of park infrastructure and grounds.
• Plans, monitors and delegates work orders to craft supervisors to maximize efficiency using the TMA database.
• Communicates professionally with division heads, vendors, site administrators, and other City departments for project completion.
• Plans and manages Capital Plan Review and site walks between yard and Capital Division; oversees plan reviews to ensure design standards.
• Monitors budget expenditures and supports safety requirements and procedures.
