CVS Health in Austin, TX is seeking a Senior Manager, Business Controls & Governance to strengthen the control environment across Service Operations. You will partner with business leaders to mature risk governance, document controls, and oversee SOX and SOC 1 activities.

The role requires deep experience in risk management, internal controls, audit support, and process improvement, with the ability to influence across a broad, matrixed organization while delivering practical, scalable solutions.

Qualificações

• 7+ years in governance, compliance, risk management, or related fields
• Experience with SOX/SOC 1 control activities
• Strong communication and leadership in matrixed environments
• Translate regulatory requirements into practical solutions
• Experience with governance, risk, and compliance platforms

Responsabilidades

• Partner with leaders to strengthen governance, risk management, and internal control processes across critical activities
• Mature governance frameworks, routines, escalation paths, and accountability
• Oversee SOX and SOC 1 compliance activities, including documentation and audit support
• Facilitate risk assessments and identify emerging regulatory risks
• Synthesize findings to identify themes and improvement opportunities
• Coordinate control walkthroughs, testing, and audit activities
• Drive remediation plans with clear ownership and timelines
• Lead quarterly control owner certification and governance processes
• Maintain control documentation ( narratives, RCMs, RACIs)
• Evaluate control design and operating effectiveness
• Improve control effectiveness while reducing administrative burden
• Standardize processes and automate where possible
• Assess changes for control implications and advise on governance
• Advise leaders on control strategy and remediation approaches
• Develop executive communications and leadership dashboards
• Provide guidance on internal controls and audit readiness
• Serve as trusted advisor across Service Operations
• Influence cross-functional partners on risk decisions
