Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Senior Manager, Business Controls & Governance in Atlanta, GA to strengthen the control environment and oversee SOX and SOC 1 compliance across Service Operations. Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in governance, compliance, risk management, internal controls, audit, or related disciplines.
• Experience with SOX and/or SOC 1 control activities, including walkthroughs, documentation, testing, and remediation.
• Ability to translate regulatory requirements into practical business solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to operate independently in a complex, matrixed environment.

Responsibilities

• Strengthen governance, risk management, and internal control processes across critical activities.
• Establish and mature governance frameworks, routines, escalation paths, and accountability.
• Oversee SOX and SOC 1 compliance activities, including governance, monitoring, and audit support.
• Facilitate risk assessments and identify emerging operational, regulatory, and compliance risks.
• Synthesize findings to identify themes and opportunities to strengthen controls.
• Coordinate control walkthroughs, testing support, and audit activities with stakeholders.
• Drive remediation plans with clear ownership, milestones, and follow-through.
• Lead quarterly control owner certification and governance processes.
• Develop control documentation such as narratives, RCMs, and evidence repositories.
• Advise senior leaders on risk tradeoffs and remediation approaches.
• Provide executive communications, dashboards, and status updates for leadership.
