Job summary

The role requires collaboration with Internal Audit, Finance, Legal, and Technology, guiding governance frameworks and control documentation, certification, and remediation in a complex, regulated setting.

Qualifications

• Min 7+ years in governance, compliance, risk management, or related.
• Experience with SOX/SOC 1 control activities, walkthroughs, documentation, testing, certification, remediation, and audit coordination.
• Ability to translate regulatory requirements into practical business solutions.

Responsibilities

• Strengthen governance, risk management, and internal control processes across critical activities.
• Establish mature governance frameworks, routines, accountability, and escalation paths.
• Lead SOX and SOC 1 compliance activities, including control governance, monitoring, documentation, and audit support.
• Facilitate risk assessments and escalate emerging risks.
• Synthesize findings to identify themes and opportunities to strengthen the control environment.
• Coordinate control walkthroughs, testing, and audit activities with Internal Audit and external auditors.
• Drive remediation plans with clear ownership and timelines.
• Lead quarterly control owner certification and broader governance processes.
• Develop and maintain control documentation (Narratives, RCMs, RACIs).
• Advise leadership on strategy, priorities, and remediation approaches.
