Job summary

Ameren Services seeks a Manager, ASC (Ameren Services Center) – Business Services to direct multiple transactional functions ensuring business continuity and compliance while reducing waste. You will lead four teams (~25 staff) and oversee a budget over $20 million, shaping vendor relations and service delivery to optimize costs.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, on-going process improvement, and aligning with Customer Affordability initiatives within a shared services context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, finance or related field required.
• Eight or more years of finance-related experience.
• Five or more years of leadership experience.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to develop relationships and build trust.
• Excellent project management skills including planning and scheduling resources.

Responsibilities

• Lead four operational teams totaling ~25 employees and manage an operating budget over $20 million.
• Improve customer bill delivery and payment options with stakeholders.
• Stay current with industry knowledge through associations and conferences.
• Ensure Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and documentation.
• Complete account reconciliations and unclaimed property filings timely and accurately.
• Respond to inquiries from regulatory entities as appropriate.
• Support ASC by building internal problem-solving capabilities and CI culture.
• Establish and monitor KPIs to evaluate operational effectiveness, service quality, compliance, and cost performance.
• Manage strategic vendor relationships, contract performance, and service delivery to optimize costs and mitigate risk.
