Job summary

FlightSafety International is seeking a Manager, SaaS Platform Services to lead a portfolio of 40+ SaaS applications and a team of eight developers and testers. You will oversee vendor relationships, license optimization, and strategic buy-vs-build decisions to maximize ROI across the portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience.
• 5+ years leading software engineering or operations teams.
• 5+ years as a People Leader with direct reports.
• 3+ years managing enterprise SaaS applications or software vendor relationships.
• 2+ years leading/managing testers or quality teams.
• Experience supporting enterprise platforms such as SharePoint, Documentum, or similar content management/collaboration solutions.
• Demonstrated experience with vendor management, contract negotiation, and license optimization.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop engineering and quality teams to drive business value through SaaS portfolio management.
• Manage vendor relationships across 40+ SaaS applications, including negotiations and performance monitoring.
• Oversee SaaS license management, procurement optimization, cost allocation, usage analysis, and vendor compliance.
• Lead SaaS vendor selection and support buy-vs-build decisions, evaluating requirements, total cost of ownership and feasibility.
• Collaborate with SaaS product leads and delivery leads on roadmap planning, releases and cross-platform integration.
• Lead team operations, break-fix activities, and 24x7 on-call support coordination; participate in after-hours rotation for critical incidents.
• Coach and lead delivery teams to improve quality, automation, and incident response capabilities.
• Establish and manage annual budget while maintaining vendor compliance and cost optimization.
• Develop and maintain strong business partnerships with SaaS application owners, IT stakeholders, and vendors.
• Understand DevSecOps as it pertains to security architecture (SSO, FedRAMP) of SaaS solutions.
