Qualifications

• Advanced degree in health economics or a related discipline.
• Typically requires 6 years of relevant experience in health economics and outcomes research.
• Knowledge of observational research methods and their application to real-world studies.
• Hands-on experience analyzing large patient-level healthcare datasets (claims, EHR, hospital data).
• Advanced proficiency with SAS programming and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Leverage Vertex’s in-licensed RWE data assets to conduct queries and analyses to support the product portfolio and development programs.
• Develop study protocols, statistical analysis plans, and table shells.
• Lead the execution of data queries and analyses with statistical programmers.
• Generate analytic reports, tables, and visualizations for internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve analytics operating model.
• Support HEOR disease/asset leads in evidence generation objectives.
• Conduct feasibility assessments to inform design and execution of research projects.
• Contribute to development of internal analytic tools and reproducible workflows.
