CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Manager, Project Controls to provide enterprise leadership for the project controls function across a large portfolio of integrated design-build projects for municipal, industrial, and federal clients. This enterprise role will establish governance, systems, analytics, and talent to deliver projects safely, profitably, and predictably.

The ideal candidate brings deep project controls leadership within the AEC industry, including experience with integrated delivery

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required.
15+ years of related experience.
PMP or PgM certification required.

Responsibilities

Define the enterprise project controls strategy, standards, and governance.
Establish controls for design-build and other delivery models; align design, procurement, cost, schedule, risk.
Strengthen budgeting, scheduling, forecasting, and change management.
Develop leading indicators, dashboards, and actionable insights on margin and backlog.
Lead modernization of controls platforms, data, and workflows; drive AI-enabled forecasting.
Set document controls standards and ensure data quality and traceability.
Collaborate across senior leaders to improve project profitability and client outcomes.
Develop and grow a distributed team of schedulers, cost controllers, and document specialists.
