Job summary

CDM Smith in the United States seeks a Senior Manager, Project Controls to lead enterprise project controls across a large portfolio of design-build projects for municipal, industrial, and federal clients. You will drive governance, analytics, and talent development to deliver safe, profitable, and predictable outcomes.

This role requires deep leadership in integrated delivery, digital transformation, and cross-functional collaboration with executive teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree.
15 or more years of related experience.
PMP or PgM certification required.

Responsibilities

Enterprise Leadership and Governance: Define the enterprise project controls strategy, standards, methodologies, and governance model; drive adoption.
Integrated Design-Build and Alternative Delivery: Establish project controls approaches for design-build, CMAR, and other delivery models; align controls from planning through closeout.
Cost, Schedule, and Commercial Controls: Strengthen budgeting, earned value, forecasting, variance analysis, schedules, and contract administration.
Portfolio Performance and Risk: Develop indicators, health reviews, dashboards, and insights for margin, backlog, cash flow, and delivery risk.
Digital Transformation and Innovation: Lead modernization of platforms, data, workflows, and AI-enabled forecasting.
Information and Document Controls: Establish standards for document management and data quality.
Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate with executives and delivery teams to improve outcomes.
Team and Capability Development: Build and lead an enterprise controls community and talent pipelines.
