Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Manager, Project Controls to lead enterprise project controls for a large portfolio of municipal, industrial, and federal design-build projects.

The role drives governance, platforms, analytics, and talent development across regions, partnering with pursuit, delivery, and finance teams to improve predictability, profitability, and client outcomes. Travel up to 50% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 15+ years related experience.
• PMP or PgM certification required.

Responsibilities

• Define the enterprise project controls strategy, standards, methodologies, and governance model.
• Establish project controls approaches for integrated delivery models (design-build, CMAR, etc.).
• Strengthen budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, and change management.
• Develop leading indicators, dashboards, and insights for margin, cash flow, and delivery risk.
• Lead modernization of project controls platforms and automated reporting.
• Establish scalable document management and data quality standards.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to improve predictability and profitability.
• Develop talent and career paths within the project controls organization.
