Job summary

NYU Langone Health seeks a Senior Manager to lead one or more procedure scheduling teams within the Faculty Group Practice. You will drive scheduling projects across specialties, ensuring efficient, accurate workflows that meet FGP objectives and patient access targets.

You will collaborate with clinical, administrative, and operational partners to optimize resources, monitor performance, and deliver a high-quality patient experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 7+ years of healthcare operations experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent customer service orientation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develops relationships with FGP stakeholders to standardize scheduling by specialty, location or other.
• Oversees scheduling initiatives from quality, training, and staffing perspectives.
• Manages workload, productivity, and outreach timeliness to patients needing procedures.
• Identifies and implements workflow improvements and training as needed.
• Tracks metrics to ensure timely scheduling in Epic and alignment with resources.
• Prevents patient cancellations by ensuring pre-procedure workflows, insurance authorization, and med clearance.
• Collaborates with multiple departments to align scheduling processes and operational needs.
• Monitors call volume, service levels, and staffing to plan resources.
• Supervises staff onboarding, training, coaching, and performance management.
• Ensures compliance with scheduling protocols and documentation standards.
• Oversees scheduling teams to deliver timely access to care.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
