Job summary

Biogen is seeking a Senior Manager of Data Science & AI to lead predictive modeling and analytics across Patient Services to improve patient experience during the treatment journey. You will leverage claims, CRM, and specialty pharmacy data to identify at‑risk patients and guide interventions.

The role partners with Patient Services, Market Access, Commercial, and Operations to translate data into actionable strategies, aiming to enhance outcomes and optimize program investments.

Qualifications

• Requires 5+ years in data science or related field with advanced analytics.
• Experience supporting U.S. Commercial pharma/biotech organizations.
• Strong programming in Python and SQL; familiarity with BI tools.
• Proven ML, statistical modeling, and optimization expertise.
• Knowledge of pharma data sources and claims/EHR datasets.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, validation, deployment of predictive models for Patient Services.
• Develop risk-scoring models to identify patients likely to discontinue or face access issues.
• Build models recommending effective patient interventions for access and adherence.
• Create prioritization frameworks for care coordinators on high-need patients.
• Design early-warning systems to identify patients needing intervention early.
• Support governance, continuous improvement, and external vendor management.
