Biogen seeks an Associate Director of Data Science & AI to lead ML and predictive analytics across the U.S. Commercial function. You will collaborate with Insights, EDM, IT, and Medical Affairs to craft models and tools that inform patient and provider strategies.

The role is hybrid with 3 days on campus in Cambridge, MA or RTP, NC, and compensation reflects location and experience. You will guide governance, mentor teams, and partner with vendors to deliver timely, innovative solutions that

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a quantitative field.
• 8+ years in data science, analytics, or AI.
• 5+ years supporting U.S. Commercial pharma/biotech.
• 3+ years leading technical teams or large initiatives.
• Strong Python and SQL programming.
• Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, Power BI.
• Expertise in ML, modeling, analytics, and optimization.
• Knowledge of IQVIA, Symphony Health, Veeva, Komodo or claims/EHR data.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, validation, and deployment of ML and predictive analytics for U.S. Commercial.
• Identify AI opportunities to gain insights into patient populations and provider behavior.
• Establish best practices for model governance and continuous improvement.
• Develop analytics and AI solutions for actionable business insights.
• Create predictive models for patient identification and provider engagement.
• Integrate claims, EHR, and commercial data to improve access and effectiveness.
• Partner with Commercial, Medical Affairs, and Analytics teams to translate insights into strategy.
• Communicate findings to executives and cross-functional teams.
• Mentor data scientists and analytics professionals; foster innovation.
• Manage external vendors and partners as needed.
• Navigate a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
