Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a senior inventory leader to manage the physical inventory program, drive accuracy, and optimize processes in partnership with Store Operations, Internal Audit, and external vendors.

Responsibilities include developing training strategies, supervising the inventory team, and providing budgeting and forecasting support to reduce shrink and financial risk. Strong leadership and retail operations knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Develop the strategic physical inventory vision including processes, field and vendor communication, training, execution, and performance measurement; identify and advocate projects that deliver ROI, reduce risk, and improve capabilities.
• Provide leadership over current physical inventory processes to identify opportunities related to vendor performance, regional trends, and communication; present changes with partners such as Store Ops, Internal Audit, and vendors.
• Manage the physical inventory team including hiring, coaching, development, and performance management; manage third-party inventory service vendors and adherence to contracts.
• Provide financial expertise and support for physical inventory services, budgeting and forecasting.
• Develop and implement physical inventory training strategies to improve efficiency and reduce shrink risk.
