Job summary

Dollar General Corporation seeks an Inventory Control Manager to oversee inventory control, flow, and accuracy at the distribution center. You will publish reports, analyze data, monitor cycle counting, and ensure timely movement of goods with strict data integrity and SKU management.

Responsibilities include coordinating imports processes, customs compliance, and annual reconciliation events, with a focus on maintaining accurate inventory and efficient operations across DCs.

Qualifications

• Two years experience in inventory control systems.
• Thorough knowledge of distribution center operations preferred.
• Through knowledge of customs regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains/exceeds all inventory accuracy goals.
• Publishes reports, analyzes data, tracks performance by area and determines root causes.
• Coordinates cycle counting and estimated statistical sampling.
• Maintains system data integrity.
• Ensures date-sensitive products are checked for expiration and quantities are correct.
• Sets up/changes SKU in strategic pick location.
• Ensures cycle counts are scheduled and completed timely and accurately.
• Leads inventory reconciliation processes (Mid-Year and Year End).
• Monitors and maintains documentation for Return to Vendor products.
• Develops budget and monitors expenses.
• Monitors processes for Customs and SOP compliances.
• Monitors transfer processes to resolve variances.
• Ensures destruction of merchandise is secured and inventoried for accuracy and Customs compliance.
• Monitors trailer pool and timely unloading of containers to eliminate detention charges.
• Delivers imports items to all distribution centers.
