Thrivent Financial in Minneapolis, MN seeks a Manager, Engineering for the e-VM domain to modernize and direct engineering across Transactions/Payments. Define MVP scopes, roadmap, and drive product strategy while guiding tech choices and vendor negotiations.

The role reports to Thrivent’s HQ but supports telecommuting from a home office anywhere in the United States. Requires 8+ years in software engineering with leadership and strong cloud/API experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in MIS/CS or related field.
• 8+ years of progressive software engineering experience, with team leadership.
• Experience delivering cross-functional product experiences with cloud hosting.

Responsibilities

• Lead modernization and engineering for Transactions/Payments domain.
• Define MVP scopes and product roadmap.
• Guide technology strategy, including stack selection and architecture.
• Oversee estimates and budgets during design/development.
• Collaborate with multiple digital and cloud teams; engage vendor negotiations.
• Establish enterprise code quality standards and metrics.
