Job summary

Wipfli’s Outsourced Accounting practice seeks a Senior Manager with strong nonprofit accounting and CFO level advisory experience to lead engagements and build trusted client relationships. The role offers remote work anywhere in the US and involves coordinating US and offshore teams, mentoring staff, and delivering high‑quality financial guidance for nonprofits.

You will review reporting, support budgets and forecasts, and translate complex accounting topics for Boards and leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; Master’s degree a plus.
• CPA designation preferred.
• Experience in public accounting, including outsourced accounting and/or external audit experience preferred.
• Demonstrated experience serving as a strategic advisor to nonprofit leadership and Boards, including financial statement interpretation, cash flow forecasting, and sustainability planning.

Responsibilities

• Review financial reporting packages and work papers for quality and timely delivery.
• Prepare and analyze benchmarking data and KPIs to support client insights.
• Present reporting packages and findings to clients.
• Assist in budgets, forecasts, and cash flow models.
• Provide technical accounting support on complex issues.
• Identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
• Lead and coordinate US and offshore engagement team members.
• Lead and coach staff and senior accountants on accounting and reporting matters.
