Job summary

Wipfli’s nonprofit client accounting advisory practice seeks a Manager with strong nonprofit accounting and controller-level advisory experience to join our purpose-driven team. You’ll lead engagements, build trusted client relationships, and help nonprofits strengthen their financial operations.

This position can be worked remotely anywhere in the US, with up to 10% travel. Ideal candidates have 4–6 years in nonprofit accounting, 3+ years managing associates, and a CPA or CMA is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
• 4–6 years nonprofit industry experience; public accounting background.
• 3+ years leading associates or teams.
• CPA or CMA preferred.
• Experience with federal grant reporting and Uniform Guidance compliance.

Responsibilities

• Review financial reporting packages and work papers for quality and timeliness.
• Prepare benchmarking data and KPIs to support client insights.
• Present reporting packages and findings to clients.
• Assist budgets, forecasts, and cash flow models.
• Provide technical accounting support to clients on complex issues.
• Identify operational inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
• Lead US and offshore engagement teams to deliver high-quality work.
• Coach staff and senior accountants on accounting and reporting.
