The Sr. Manager, VOCC VAS DPS Forward leads a 24x7 first‑level operations team responsible for the realtime monitoring, support, and restoration of debit transaction processing across Visa's platforms. This role ensures rapid incident resolution, clear client communication, and strong escalation discipline to maintain the highest levels of service availability and meet critical funding and settlement commitments.
This leader is expected to bring not only deep operational expertise but also a forward‑looking mindset centered on AI, automation, and operational modernization. The Sr. Manager will drive the adoption of intelligent monitoring, automated recovery workflows, and data‑driven insights to reduce manual toil, prevent incidents, and improve response quality and speed.

What we expect of you, day to day
- Oversee the daily operations of a 24x7 team, ensuring consistent execution and proactive monitoring through modernized, automated operational workflows.
- Provide strategic leadership and management to team members, including staffing selection, goal setting, annual reviews, compensation planning, career development, coaching, and administrative support.
- Collaborate with Business Leaders to develop and manage tactical and long‑term plans focused on operational stability, resiliency, and modernization.
- Enhance work processes by identifying areas for intelligent automation, predictive analytics, and AI‑assisted detection to reduce manual effort and minimize risks of service interruptions.
- Represent the support team on cross‑functional projects, ensuring on‑time delivery of tactical and strategic commitments.
- Demonstrate strong technical leadership, take ownership of significant incidents, and leverage automated diagnostics and AI‑driven recommendations to accelerate restoration.
- Manage team workload, prioritizing incidents, problems, and requests to resolve on time; drive adoption of runbook automation, autoremediation tools, and self‑service capabilities.
- Identify and address common problem areas by analyzing trends and patterns using AI‑enabled monitoring.
- Represent the DP team in relevant meetings, including process improvement and automation adoption.
- Ensure the team remains focused on supporting production issues while shifting workload to automated, intelligent workflows.
- Maintain and enhance technical skills through training, coaching, and mentoring, especially in automated operations and observability platforms.
- Communicate incidents internally and externally with accuracy and clarity, leveraging automated incident communication tools.
- Participate in Major Problem Review meetings, leading improvement opportunities that focus on automation and predictive analytics.
- Independently triage simultaneous incidents using AI‑powered correlation and modern observability tools to reduce time to root‑cause identification.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- 8+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree, or at least 5 years with an Advanced Degree (e.g., Masters, MBA, JD, MD), or 2 years with a PhD, or 11+ years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- 9+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree, or 7+ years with an Advanced Degree, or 3+ years with a PhD.
- 8+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor’s degree, OR 11+ years of relevant work experience.
- Experience managing large teams in diverse and decentralized environments.
- Proven track record of establishing and implementing objectives and tactical plans from overall direction to execution.
- Ability to interpret technical incidents as business concepts and present solutions to multiple levels.
- Effective verbal and written communication and solid presentation skills.
- Strong leadership capabilities and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent team player with strong reporting and documentation skills.

The estimated salary range for this position is $145,400.00 to $232,500.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job‑related factors such as knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
